I. Project Background
In November 2019, NODHA provided 10’’x40mm steel thick-wall pipe beveling processing services for a heavy equipment manufacturing project of Sany Group. The project required simultaneous beveling and countersinking on the inner wall of the pipe to meet the special assembly requirements of the high-pressure container nozzle. The work hardening characteristics of high-strength steel pose severe challenges to tool life and cutting stability.
II. Solution
Adopt NODHA hydraulic beveling machine with a size of 8’’-14’’ and equipped with a special countersinking tool slider
Hydraulic drive system: stable torque output, stepless speed control, automatic shutdown of overload protection device
Compound processing technology: beveling and countersinking are completed simultaneously, manual feed stroke is 70mm, and special forming tools reduce the number of tool changes
III. Implementation effect
Reduce turnover between processes to improve production efficiency
Intelligent monitoring reduces operational risks
Green process reduces carbon emissions by 20%
IV. Customer feedback
Customer feedback that the machine efficiency and accuracy are compatible at the same time, and the project was completed very smoothly.
