Customized flange facer arm length suits the limited space

A client from Greece had a new flange facing project on site.

But the 2 adjacent flanges are very close: 40mm only. The OD of flange is 520mm, so the Max. Rotation diameter is about 600mm (520+40*2)mm.

There is no space to use OD-Mounted flange facing machine, but our closed size of  ID-Mounted flange facer is FI26,: swing diameter 770mm, much more than the limited diameter 600mm.

After discuss with our team, we present our proposal: Shorten the length of the arm, combined with adjusting the install position, we can get the rotation diameter 580mm, remain 20mm.

This way we can work with this job, and after shorten the arm, the max. working range will be 24inch, lose a little effective working range.

The limited work space is a common problem always meet, such as the split frame pipe cold cutter, we supply the axial and radial clearance chart, to ensure the clamshell can do the certain in-situ job.
